Where is my diary stored?
Diary text, photos, audio, location, mood, and settings are stored on your device. The app does not automatically send them to a developer server or third-party analytics service.
Can I use the app without camera, microphone, or location access?
Yes. You can save text and mood without those permissions. Each permission is requested only for its related optional feature and can be changed in iPhone Settings.
Choose what gets saved
Turn off “Save audio in diary” to use voice transcription without attaching the recording. “Save to Photos” can be changed in the app’s Settings.
Free features and Shiori Plus
Writing, photos, audio, location, calendar, map, and search remain free. Shiori Plus optionally adds reminders, backup, PDF export, and deeper reflections.
Restore or manage a purchase
Use Settings → Shiori Plus → Restore Purchases. Manage monthly or annual subscriptions in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Contact
Include your iOS version, iPhone model, and the steps that reproduce the issue. You do not need to share private diary content.
