Developer data collection
The developer does not collect personal data through this app. The app uses no account, advertising, analytics SDK, tracking, or developer-operated server.
On-device processing and storage
Photos you choose or take, sample points, color values, specimen names, notes, tags, favorites, and display settings are processed and stored on your device. They are not automatically sent to the developer or a third party.
Camera and photos
Camera access is requested only after you choose the camera feature. Photos are selected with Apple's system photo picker, which gives the app only the image you explicitly select. The app does not request access to your entire photo library.
Sharing and external links
A palette image or color codes are passed to the iOS share sheet only after you choose a share action. Choosing Support or Privacy opens this public website in your browser. Your specimen data is not sent to the website.
Backup and restore
When you choose to export a backup, the app creates a JSON file on your device containing photos, colors, sample points, names, notes, tags, favorites, and dates, and saves it to your chosen destination. Import processes only the selected file on your device. Backup files are not encrypted. Copies saved or shared through external services are subject to those services' terms and privacy policies. Deleting a specimen in the app does not delete exported copies; delete those at their storage destinations if needed.
Deleting data
Deleting a specimen removes its saved photo, sample points, colors, name, note, and tags from the app. Deleting the app removes all records and settings stored by the app on that device.
Apple services
Apple provides App Store and TestFlight distribution and diagnostic services. Please refer to Apple's privacy policy for Apple's handling of information.
Changes
This policy may be updated when features or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be described on this page together with a new effective date.
